We are excited to announce that we have purchased the building formerly known as Linsky's Service Station at 159 Maplewood Ave in Gloucester, MA and will be moving Cape Ann Auction from 1 Kondelin Rd. Gloucester MA to that location, and we'll be turning it GREEN. No kidding.
The items we sell have no added carbon footprint, everything we sell is antique/vintage or used. Oh, and of course this means they're in stock and there are no supply chain problems!
But we're really excited because all heating oil systems have been removed. We're installing energy-efficient heat/air conditioning pumps, we'll be 1oo% solar powered, making us, the greenest auction house in MA!
This purchase of will allow us to grow our business to better suit our customers in new, exciting ways! Owning our own building will allow us to personalize our space, better accommodate quality consignments, and hold more frequent auctions, garage sales, and special events.
Best of all, the central location has us jazzed about being able to play a more active role in our local community!
The goal is to be in the new location (after some renovations) by the end of December 2022 and to be up and running soon after the New Year!
For that to happen, we'll have to sell off the stock and fixtures at 1 Kondelin Rd at an insane pace! There needs to be some kind of selling activity nearly every day starting now!
There will be Auctions, Vintage Yard Sales, FB Marketplace Listings, Private Sales and much more! Our emails and website are the best ways to keep track of exactly what is happening and when!
Last, and most important, we want to say THANK YOU to our friends/customers for helping our Family Business to get here! To say we couldn't have done it without you, may sound cliche, but it's true!
