Experience & Background

Walt has done extensive appraisal work throughout the years for attorneys, estate executors, salvors, insurance adjusters, heirs & businesses.

He is a certified appraiser who has also been a full-time seller of antiques, jewelry, collectibles, art & personal property since the late 1970s.

All of his report work is in conformity with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice courses (USPAP).

Professional Journey

Started as a picker, then became floor manager for Gus Williams of G&E Auctions in Westmoreland, NH

Graduated from the Yankee School of Auctioneering (1994)

Licensed auctioneer in NH (1995), later licensed in VT and MA

Formed Readsboro Auctioneers in Readsboro, VT

Opened his own sales in Greenfield and Barre, MA (2000)

Consultant/writer for Worthpoint (since 2002)

Founded Cape Ann Auction in 2010 in Gloucester, MA
