Our Story

Cape Ann Auction is owned and operated by Walt & Robin Kolenda with the help of their family.

 

Walt started in the Antiques/Estate Liquidation field in 1979. He has since added to his repertoire: Certified Appraisals, Online Auction Consultation, and Professional Downsizing Assistance.

He loves the endless treasure hunt of this work. It is his responsibility to rehome heirlooms, collections & overstock, into the hands of new, appreciative owners.

 

Robin joined the team in 2012. Her sense of adventure quickly showed she would pick through any attic, basement or crawlspace, even ones Walt was afraid to enter! Her sense for style & quality assure that the most interesting items make it to Cape Ann Auction events. Her organizational skills ensure that, clients are heard, appointments are kept and the business runs as a well oiled machine.
